Hi Patrik, dont feel so rushed. (if you are) It seems to me that you are forcefully tieing Medival Art with your art and daily life. I could see how you are making connections, but as like Will said, it might not communicate to the audience as much as you want. Although, I really like your paintings- playfullness and the horror it has. Maybe it might be helpful to think about what you want to express from empty canvas. - um.. what I want to say is that try something much more basic and fundamental- within one of your topic. Because I though, maybe it is struggling you because you are trying to get something else by applying your current style to some other style you come up with. Maybe you could try some simplified painting or drawing that may express what you want to say (stories in daily activity/ news)
Trying to make everything more simple may help you get a bit untangled. (to me, simple is one way to go Grand) Then after that you could probably look at your past paintings you worked on with a fresh eyes and understand it more. -- I often get lost and feel depressed by working on same thing continuously (like you) and it helps me to have a chance to look at a work with fresh eyes. -- Im sorry if i make you more confused-- it is just one idea from other person, so you dont have to take it if you dont want to
hey
can you bring it in to class? If not how big? What is it about? I really like the smalll images near the middle. Reminds me a bit of Basquiat's work (forget how to spell his name!) maybe look at some of his stuff.
